Okay so what can I say about this... i'm not very good at water colour but i think i have improved a lot since my last attempt and this time i'm using more expensive paint and I noticed that made a HUGE difference!
I apologize this is one picture.. this is also part of my university portfolio  but i tried to follow the rules religiously, i take these competitions too seriously  Sorry for f***ing up the show jumping fence ¬.¬ i did read that then forgot..
Besides that I really like this and I hope I get a good score :) Also hope uni likes it.

Its story time!!
---------------
Arrival
Ryan felt his body creak as the seatbelt sign turned off in the plane. The engines began to shut down and there was a flurry of activity to get to immigration as quickly as possible. If legal Ryan was positive people would be fighting to the death to escape the tin can they had travelled in. He stood and stretched and waiting until he could get his bag from the overhead bins. Ryan and Natalie began to follow the sea of people rushing for the exit. Exiting the plane and walking into the partition tunnel Ryan stopped and showed a form to a woman in the Air Australia uniform. She smiled and nodded and turned to open a door leading to stairs going down to the tarmac where Ryan would see his partner.

His partner, a handsome but young grey stallion stood in the belly of the plane peered around cautiously. He nibbled the last strands of hay from the hay net in his tiny confinements. He snorted in question and wondered where he was. Suddenly a large door opened and blinding light poured in. The temperature soared and the stallion began to sweat. He blinked and put his ears back in frustration. Noises and machines became more apparent as the horse began to feel himself moving. He whinnied in panic as his stall was slowly lifted out of the cargo plane. Ryan watched as the stall was gently lowered onto a truck. The grey stallion whinnied again as the familiar face approached.
"He seems just fine, he was pretty quiet for the flight." the woman said, her lime green uniform scarf blew in the hot wind. Why don't we go over to immigration and clear both your papers?"

Dressage
It was unbearably hot... it was so hot Ryan felt as though he was going to melt in the saddle. The temperature was a major shock since he had been living in -26 C just a few days before. The horses seemed to find it difficult to adjust as well. Both Cici and Disco had been clipped before they left but during their travel had grown a bit more fur for warmth only to have it falling out as they trained in the extreme conditions at Yawarda Stud.

Disco was already panting walking towards the warm up ring... not that anyone needed to warm up anymore. Ryan himself was about ready to strip from his dressage jacket and hit the closest pool. Natalie walked beside the pair on the ground wearing all black which Ryan had no idea why she only brought black clothing. She was trudging along for moral support before she would go back to the trailer to fetch Cici for the next level of competition. She fiddled with the stallions green disk start number to make it more even before she spoke.
"Fuck its hot." she mumbled as she scratched her head in frustration from the heat.
"That it is... luckily Disco is so light that the heat isn't bothering him that much." Disco weezed in response, his movement laggy and half hearted.
"Yeah..." Natalie mumbled and stopped. She gazed out across the crowded show grounds where horses and riders were either practising or finishing their round, some ready to enter the ring. "Okay, I'm going to go get Cici so we can prepare ourselves too... you good by yourself?"
Ryan looked down at the already exhausted colt. It was his second show and taking it a little too well...
"Yeah, we're good. Have any water?" the blue haired girl shook her head in response.
"Sorry, good luck!" she patted the colt and turned back to where they came from.

Cross Country
"Three.. Two.. One!" Ryan spoke out loud. The stallions ears flicked forward as he cleared a dry fallen log. They cantered up the trampled path eating up time with the stallions long strides. A wall of tall grass came before them and the pair didn't blink, they cleared the obstacle with ease and began to quicken the pace. Spectators watched from the side and snapped pictures of the team as they rode by and popped up the step up and jumped down. Ryan checked his watch and gasped for air. The air was hot and dry and the sun was beating down unbearably. Disco was drenched with sweat and lather but pressed on towards the water hazard. Up and over the squiggly log and into the welcoming murky pond. It was cool as the pair splashed their way towards the step up and they were back on the dusty trail towards the finish line.

Stadium
10 obstacles stood the teams way and the stallion sighed. He flicked his ears back and forth assessing the situation. He didn't really know what to make of the large green and yellow fences. Ryan patted his sweaty neck and ran the course through his mind.
"Water?" Natalie, wearing the Yawarda shirt she bought handed the rider a cold bottle. He took it and drank greedily.
"Oh God, it's like I haven't see water in days!" he exclaimed.
"Um.. I can see that..." she took the almost empty bottle back hesitantly.
"No actually I'll have the rest now." Ryan grabbed it back. Disco flicked his ears back to listen to the commotion. He drank the rest and sighed in delight. "You'll get sick now... you drank too fast." Natalie commented.
"I don't care, I'm dehydrating as we speak. My beautiful complexion is deteriorating!" a few other competitors glanced over at Ryan and gave him and odd look.
"Whatever. You're up next Ms. Drama Queen." Natalie began walking away. "I'm going to my seat."
"Reef will be mad to know you're not wearing your farm shirt!" Natalie flipped him the finger as she left.
